Round & Simple Shapes Needlepoint Finishing Class with Starke Art Design – Saturday, Sept 19 (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Learn an easy, reliable method for darting to get your shape perfectly flat and crisp. We will also cover next-level decorative details, including how to make tricolor cording or apply flat trim to give your finished project a professional edge.

Instead of a traditional ornament, you will learn how to use a weighted placecard holder or an acrylic stand to easily turn your simple shape into a freestanding display.

Shape Suggestion: For those working on simple shapes, we highly suggest a heart design, as it is the perfect canvas for learning how to finish a sharp point and a deep "V."

Prerequisite: Everyone must take the Round Finishing Class first. If you have already taken a round class with us, you are approved to work on Simple Shapes during this session.

• What to Bring: Please bring one stitched canvas and two fabric choices.
• What is Provided: All finishing tools, supplies, and a step-by-step instruction packet with detailed photos.

Instructor bio: Kelly is the owner/designer of Starke Art Designs. In addition to her line of wonderful needlepoint designs, she finishes all levels of needlepoint from ornaments to intricate dimensional pieces. Kelly shares her exceptional finishing skills in numerous YouTube videos and is now traveling to shops to share even more in person.
