Custom Canvas Designing & Painting Class with Starke Art Design – Saturday, Sept 19 (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

No counting required! Discover a more organic, artistic way to design and paint your own needlepoint canvases.

In this creative class, you will learn how to prepare a canvas and practice painting techniques on a dedicated practice piece. You will then apply what you've learned to paint your own final canvas. We will choose from a variety of existing designs (which fit perfectly into popular self-finishing products) and cover three distinct font options for mastering painted lettering. You will also gain valuable knowledge on prep and supplies that will make your future DIY painting projects much easier. Kelly Starke of Starke Art Designs, is a national teacher with a professional finishing workshop in Massachusetts.

Instructor bio: Kelly is the owner/designer of Starke Art Designs. In addition to her line of wonderful needlepoint designs, she finishes all levels of needlepoint from ornaments to intricate dimensional pieces. Kelly shares her exceptional finishing skills in numerous YouTube videos and is now traveling to shops to share even more in person.
